Trying to re-engage with my old #weeklypizzalunch tradition for the coming year. Starting a week early at Emmett’s, a Chicago-themed pizzeria in Greenwich Village. Here, their thin-crust pie with sausage and onion. It has a satisfyingly crisp crust and is reminiscent of the Midwestern-style pizzas I grew up eating—there’s not that much geographic distance between Chicago and Milwaukee, where my family’s from, and whose pizza remains a touchstone in the Kuban Family pizza heritage.
